  • Adjust the height of a guitar's tremolo system, start by loosening the strings to relieve tension on the system. Then, locate the adjustment screws which are usually at the base of the tremolo or on the bridge. Make small adjustments to the screws, turning them clockwise to lower the tremolo and counterclockwise to raise it, being careful not to overshoot.
